Return to Victory in Week 7

After a difficult loss in week 6 Dodge This returned with a vengence defeating Dark Side 10- 2 in a quick 34 minute game. After going down 2-0 to Dark Side Dodge This rallied and went on to win the next 10 consequtive matches for the mercy. Many Kudos go out to Dark Saide which has been one of the best spirited and fair teams we have played so far. Jen won the MVP after a great catch as well as taking one in the head late in the night. Many catched were had and the night was a positive one for the entire team especially the men who played iron man all night.

Game 6 = Loss 1..... Sorta?

So after a great run Dodge This has finally lost a game, be it under contentious circumstances. After leading the game 4-2 Dodge-o-Rama seemed to be unable to keep their extremely hard throws below head level. Also several of their players had creative interpretations of the rules including chucking balls at our players after being hit but before heading off the court. Many balls went wizzing past our heads as we stood backs against the far wall. After several near misses, including several girls taking balls in the hands to prevent being hit in the face I informed the GC that if the throws did not come down we would not finish the game. After several more very high throws to which the other team cheered when our players took it in the hands to not to get hit in the face I decided that we had had enough! I called the game and we left. I really do not care if we lost I was just worried that someone would get hurt if play continued. The GC supported us although the other team seemed angry that we were being "bad sports". I told them it was not about being bad sports but rather no one on our team was willing to get hurt for a game of dodgeball. So for the rest of you in dodgeball land sign up and refuse to play teams that do not follow the rules including throwing at your face!!!

Game 6???

We play tomorrow at 10Pm again! WE play Dodge-O-Rama a team that also has a 5-0 record. Thats right Game 6 could be the game that decides first and second going into playoffs! So even though we are carrying a few injuries lets take our games up a notch and see what we can do!

Game 5 Tomorrow

Game 5 should be a great game as we are playing Detatched Retinas. We played them at last weekends tournament and they are a great bunch of players and it should be a fun evening. See you all there at 10Pm.

Tournament a Success!!

Well if anyone thought that a dodgeball tourament would be a lot of fun they would be right!! The tournament went well and aside from a few players from other teams who were not familiar with the rules things went well. We ended up going 4-2 for a record which is pretty good, and better than that we ended up learning a lot that I think will transfer to our monday league.

Also at the end of the night we won a bunch of prizes, including a soccer ball, two shirts and a backpack. Thanks everyone for a great tournament.
